Our Story

History Photo 3.jpg
From London’s Espresso Bars to the Heart of Stevenage

The story of The Pantry House began in the late 1990s, when a young man arrived in this country with a simple goal and a tireless work ethic. He found his calling in the bustling English coffee shops of London, immersing himself in the true Art of Coffee.

Under the guidance of master baristas, he didn’t just learn how to make a drink; he learned the science of the roast, the precision of the pour, and the importance of the community that gathers around a warm cup.

A Vision Realised

Throughout those early years in London, he carried a vision: to one day open a space of his own, a place that combined world-class coffee expertise with the genuine warmth of a family home.

In 2005, that dream became a reality. He took over the shop at 16 Queensway, and for over 20 years, he has been behind the counter every day, serving the Stevenage community with the same passion that drove him in the beginning.

The Pantry House Today

Today, the business remains a family-run staple. We haven't forgotten our roots; every espresso we pull and every "Proper Cornish" pasty we bake is a tribute to that journey. When you walk through our doors, you aren't just a customer, you are part of a story that’s been brewing for over 25 years.
